Bible’s Transforming Power
Usually, the medication is prescribed in an average dosage of 50 mg, and then, depending on the onset effect, the dosage is adjusted or, in the case of a good effect, does not change. https://professionalhelpformen.com/viagra-professional-50-mg-vs-viagra-professional-100-mg-which-is-better/.
As MBS moves forward with new ministries and projects, we are not forgetting our long term commitments. We are increasingly connected to a greater number of the detention centers and prisons in Maryland. We work with them via Bible Grants. The jail ministry is not for everyone. Prison chaplains and the local voluntary missionaries who work with them hear God’s call and answer. Their funding is usually sparse but the need for Bibles is constant, thus MBS makes the difference.
In the last several months we established a new connection with the Snow Hill Detention Center, working with Assistant Warden Col. Fulton Holland and the Chaplain Mary Dickerson. These two committed individuals work diligently to care for those brought to them. I have learned from personal knowledge how committed Chaplain Dickerson is to the care and wellbeing of inmates. Her presence can make a critical difference. Some of those brought in are teetering on the edge of despair, going through withdrawal and painfully sad. Chaplain Mary Dickerson, a former employee within the system, brings her passion for teaching the Bible and her unique understanding of how the detention environment and processes work to bear on her interactions. Wrapped in the combination of these two gifts, she is able to comfort, encourage and share Christ, helping many to move through the paces of the center with greater courage and humility.
I want to share with you a portion of an inmate’s letter received here at MBS from one of the county detention center chaplains:
“I’ve been in jail since January (2014) and since coming here with your help I was able to accept Jesus as my Savior. When I got here I asked for something to read. I was disappointed when all they had was a Bible. But as the days went by and I got further into the Word it became genuinely interesting……I felt transformed when he (a born again inmate) guided me to my belief in Jesus and our Lord.
Since finding God I’ve been made aware of the many blessings and graces he’s granted me in here….This journal of blessings reassures me when I reread them of how real God love for us is” Ryan, Prisoner
Please continue to pray for those who minister in our jails, for those for whom they care and for MBS that we receive the provision needed to continue to do the work of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. (Isaiah 61:1)
