Maryland Bible Society, partnering with the Institute of Cultural Communicators, issued a challenge to Christian students in the Mid Atlantic area who are interested in attending the Institute’s annual conference retreat “IGNITE”, held mid-January.  By submitting a 2.5 minute video blog telling “the story of how they connect the dots between knowing the Bible and becoming a communicator for Christ”, each one had the opportunity to win 1 of 4 scholarships to the Institute’s retreat in Tennessee.

Founded in 1997, the Institute’s mission is to equip young Christians to shape the future through authentic leadership and cultural communications.  The organization offers a variety of programs, events and teaching materials designed to help all Christian students to impact their culture through excellent communication of the truth.

For MBS this partnership is only the beginning of our Project 2:10, a commitment to the ‘next generation’ that they will not be lost but rather will be taught and encouraged in their Christian faith. In 2013 we are continuing to partner with youth ministries, supporting and encouraging them in their missions and more importantly combining our vision and resources with theirs allowing us to highlight the importance  of the Bible.  Our approach is multipronged, partnering with a number of ministries.  We have partnered with the Baltimore-Washington Convention of the United Methodist Church distributing Bibles at their  annual ROCK  Conference  in January with an attendance of 7,000 students.  The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is teaming up with MBS to distribute Bibles in public schools to both students and athletic coaches.   Annually we attend the several Youth for Christ conferences and we are entering into partnerships with national ministries to bring scripture and biblical education to the public schools students.As we reach out to the next generation, we ask for your prayers and your donations.  This generation needs Jesus.  Please help us in our efforts.

For over 200 years, the mission of the Maryland Bible Society (MBS) has been to see that every individual has an opportunity to own a Bible regardless of their native language or financial situation. Here in Maryland this mission has been mostly fulfilled. It serves as the ‘road map’ for the often-overwhelming experience of life. It is a comfort, an encouragement, a teacher. It is convicting, edifying and inspiring. The Bible reveals our purpose in life. The Creator of the Universe has given us His Word to guide and direct us as we serve Him and live in the world.

As we embark on this renewed vision, our desire is to impact lives. As God leads us on this great adventure, we invite you to partner with us.
